Teaching Leadership to Children

Project Based Leadership Training is teaching people of all ages how to make a difference while developing their leadership, organizational and communication skills.

For Instance, one of our students Julia at Age 12, noticed that a local private elementary school, St Mary’s had no library. For her Project Based Leadership Training (PBLT) she organized a book drive at TheDOJO and received 1,000 books which were donated from our students and the community. These books through her leadership effort began the library at the St Mary’s Elementary School helping children in our community.

At TheDOJO, we unleash human potential and Julia not only went on to become an amazing black belt, belt also an amazing human being.

Sensei Dan Rominski is a Martial Artist & Sensei at TheDOJO, his martial arts school in Rutherford NJ. With over 32 years experience he not only teaches the punches & kicks of the martial arts but he also teaches people of all ages how to manifest the qualities of the martial arts outside of the realm of a punch kick or throw. We like to call it out of TheDOJO & into the WORLD! Through interesting projects & ideas he teaches his students to “make a difference” by not only executing beautiful and proficient martial art techniques but by also executing beautiful & proficient ideas through the power of taking action. The Dojo is a martial arts school designed and run by adults --who understand they are helping parents, children, women and men students. We cultivate a love of movement and exercise in our students. We coach them in personal safety, from bullying to food to attitude to family to community; we do it subtly and we do it directly. Most importantly we teach kids to take what they learn in our dojo (school) and put it to work in their lives. We teach self-defense while getting in shape to teens women and men in a safe and fun learning environment.

We offer price ranges for tuition that will fit any budget. We do NOT practice aggressive or offensive sales methods or in any way treat our students with anything but the utmost respect.
